Everything you need to know before you run, laugh, and get covered in colour!
Arrival & Parking
Please arrive in good time before your allocated start wave.
Parking options:
- Car park in front of Lanimer Community Shed (Racecourse Entrance)
- Car park beside the football facility
Please follow signage and marshal directions on arrival.
Registration
- Registration area will be clearly marked with a large Lanimer flag
- Please check in using your e-tickets
- Collect any pre-ordered colour pouches at registration
Registration & warm-up opens from 2:00pm
Route
Participants can choose between two distances:
- 2km route
- 4km route (2 laps of the 2km course)
When purchasing tickets, participants will be asked to select their route to help us organise start waves.
Start times:
- 4km: approx. 2:20pm
- 2km: approx. 2:25pm
(Please arrive early to allow time for registration and warm-up.)
What to Wear
We recommend wearing:
- Comfortable sportswear you don’t mind getting covered in colour
- Old trainers (the colour may not wash out)
- White or light-coloured clothing for the best colour effect
Avoid wearing anything valuable or that you want to keep clean.
- A fun, non-competitive run or walk
- Colour stations along the route
- Music, atmosphere, and a lively start/finish area
- Plenty of photo opportunities
What to Expect
Safety & Participation
- The event is suitable for all ages (under 16s must be accompanied)
- Please follow marshal instructions at all times
- If you feel unwell during the event, speak to a marshal immediately
Photography
An official photographer will be present throughout the event to capture the fun, colour, and atmosphere of the Lanark Colour Run.
Photos taken may be used by the Lanark Lanimer Committee for promotional purposes, including social media, websites, and future marketing materials.
You can request removal of your image at any time by contacting us on:

Bag Storage
Please note there is no bag storage available at the event. Any personal belongings are brought entirely at your own risk, and the Lanark Lanimer Committee cannot accept responsibility for lost or damaged items.
Prams/Buggies
The course is not suitable for prams or buggies.
Please ensure that younger participants are able to complete the route safely on foot.
Toilet Facilities
Toilets are available at the Lanimer Community Shed. Please speak to a marshal if you need assistance or directions.
